Here is the next detailed sketch idea for the Armstrong.

I really like this shuttle; very cool design.

It certainly looks like something that could logically follow in the design lineage of Starfleet shuttles. You can see hints of design features from previous classes: forward section is evocative of the Type-9 shuttle from VOY, overall proportions and the oval-shaped side window similar to Danube class runabouts, and the raised parts on both sides in the rear (impulse engine housings, I assume?) remind me of the Type-6 shuttle.

Don't get me wrong, though; in no way, shape, or form does this look like a kitbash. In my opinion, you've again done exactly what you did with your design for the Titan: using enough familiar Starfleet design elements that it is clear at first glance that this is a vessel inspired by those that have come before, while giving those elements enough of your own individual touch to stand on its own as a great design.

Another element I have to comment on is the front cut-out area (deflector / sensor?). Normally, I dislike non-symmetrical design elements in starships and shuttles; I'm not sure why, but it usually bugs me. In this case, though, having that area offset like that really works... It adds to the individuality and personality of this design.

Two thumbs way up!
