I have been given permission from Alec Peters to post my original sketches of the U.S.S.Ares that
I created before any Adobe Illustrator Images were done. As you can see from theses original Pen & Inks
I wanted to go with the under slung nacelles.

Ah! So you're the mastermind behind that design! I heard about ST Axanar via Trekmovie.com, and the glimpses of the ships, especially the Ares, were extraordinary. You designed a winner with this one.

This is a cool Star Trek design. It really feels like it belongs in Roddenberry's universe. Much better than the usual chunky, clunky designs floating around the internet.

Always been a fan of smaller/support ships. I do like the use of the markers as well it gives a good sense of depth and light
