Here is the finished I.S.S.Akyazi variant I.S.S.Arbiter commission for Glenn Judd. This was fun since it is one of my favorite design from Kirk's era.

Question: How does the deflector dish work if it's not visible from the front?

That was what was wrong with most of the TOS and Tmp fan designs they did not have a traditional or any deflector dish. Maybe they had a different deflector system. That is why with the u.s.s ares that I created for star trek axanar the deflector is smaller but there none the less.

Is it just empire coloring or is there a significance to the bronze colored hull panels? Have not seen that on your designs yet, why I'm asking.

The Akyazi class is kind of a "23rd Century Defiant." It has the same concept as the Defiant - a very fast, hard-hitting and tough starship with minimal amenities and a short cruising range - rendered on technology of the era of the original-series Star Trek movies.
